Skin tags, or achrochordon, are fleshy little outgrowths that usually appear on skin with folds where there is rubbing such as armpits, eyelids, neck and legs. They appear due to an increase in collagen and blood vessels on thick skin. The causes vary from hereditary factors to diabetes, obesity, pregnancy, steroids or HPV. Fortunately, skin tags are neither painful nor dangerous but they are out of shape. It’s comforting to know that there are natural remedies that we can use to permanently eliminate skin tags at home.
Aloe Vera : Apply and massage Aloe Vera juice on your skin tag. Repeat for a few days and you will see results.
Garlic Juice : For two days, apply garlic juice on your skin tag and it will slowly vanish.
Tea Tree Oil : Soak a cotton ball in tea tree oil and gently massage your skin tag. This method is truly effective in one week if you repeat it daily.
Essential Oils : To remove skin tags from your face or eyelids, mix a teaspoon of oregano essential oil with half a teaspoon of basil essential oil and 8 teaspoons of sesame oil. Dip a cotton ball in the mixture and keep it on your facial skin tag for 30 minutes once a day.
Potato : Apply a piece of potato over your skin tag and secure it with a bandage. After a few days the skin tag dries and falls off.
Aspirin : Dissolve aspirin in water and apply it on the skin tag. Like potato, it will dry and remove your skin tag for good.
Nail Polish : Apply a drop of nail polish on your skin tag and let it dry. In 2 to 3 days, the skin tag vanishes.
Cut it off : Cutting off skin tags is not painful. Securely tie dental floss around your skin tag and cut it off with scissors or a nail cutter then apply antibacterial cream.
